Retro M-16A2 80% build.
Finished assembling my retro A2 rifle. Have had the lower done for over a year and now its all done. Went to range today. Rifle fired rounds ok but last round bolt hold open was not functioning correctly. Turned out the follower in the mag was not pushing bolt catch up. Spring in bolt catch was too strong. Had to replace it and it works fine now. This brings back memories of the Army and my A2 service rifle I carried for 10 years. I went back and added the replica statement engraving after Navy Sailor had gone to jail from ATF saying he had full auto when he didn't.

Hello
Hello my name is Minh. I just joined the crew with a yearly membership. I’ve been building 80% AR15s and 80% Glocks for well over 10 years now. I’m currently enrolled at Sonoran Desert Institute, on Week 6 of classes for my first semester. I’m looking forward to tackling this new 76% frame and I’m here to learn new tricks and gather as much information to continue manufacturing freedom. Here are some of my builds:

AR Lower Assembly
My first combat tour was with a 16a2 with a m68 cco and about midway through deployment knights armament rails with a surefire and peq2. Definitely brings back memories. I’d love to rebuild that and show how I learned to do CQB with that big boy.
